Blog Tour and Review ~ The Best Laid Wedding Plans by Lynnette Austin

The Best Laid Wedding Plans
by Lynnette Austin
Genre: Contemporary Romance

With love in their hearts and crafting the perfect wedding on their minds, the possibilities are endless for the ladies of Lynette Austin's new Magnolia Brides series.
SOME DREAMS ARE WORTH WHATEVER IT TAKES
Jenni Beth Beaumont left her broken heart behind when she took her dream job in Savannah. But after her brother's death, Jenni Beth returns home to help mend her parents' hearts as well as restore their beautiful but crumbling antebellum mansion. New dreams take shape as Jenni Beth sets to work replacing floors and fixing pipes to convert the family homestead into the perfect wedding destination. However, some folks in their small Southern town are determined to see her fail.
Cole Bryson was once the love of Jenni Beth's life, but the charming architectural salvager has plans of his own for the Beaumont family home. As the two butt heads,
old turmoil is brought to the surface and Cole and Jenni Beth will have to work through some painful memories and tough realities before they can set their pasts aside and have a second chance at their own happily ever after.

I always love a little mystery with my romance and that is exactly what you get with The Best Laid Wedding Plans by Lynnette Austin.  This book takes you back to the old south with their beautiful homes, warm and loving friends and family, and second chances at love.  This is the story of Jenni Beth and Cole.

Jenni Beth is a wedding planner, she leaves her job, determined to return to her home, renovate the old place and start a destination wedding place that will benefit not only her family, but the entire little town that needs a shot in the arm and a boost to the economy.  What she does not count on is her brother's best friend and the one man that she has loved all of her life to come barreling in and reeking havoc on her heart.

Cole knows that he has done Jenni Beth wrong in the past, first by standing her up on prom night, then after they hooked up that one fateful night years later.  He promised his best friend and her brother that he would look out for Jenni Beth and he parents after his death, and he has done a really bad job of it.  But that is about to change.  He will do anything to help Jenni Beth realize her dreams.  Even if that means that he keeps secrets from her in order to keep her safe.

There is someone out to cause problems for Jenni Beth, someone out to steal her land and stop her at all cost.  It will take Cole and Jenni Beth working together to get to the bottom of this mystery before her bridal business goes up in smoke.

I loved the connection between Cole and Jenni Beth.  I loved the way that Cole eased Jenni Beth into giving him a second chance, explaining that he never felt like he was enough for her, that in his eyes, she was everything that he could have ever dreamed, but he was scared.  I look forward to more in this series and give this book 5 beautiful stars.

The luxury of staying home when the weather turns nasty, of working in PJs and bare feet, and the fact that daydreaming is not only permissible but encouraged, are a few of the reasons middle school teacher Lynnette Austin gave up the classroom to write full-time. Lynnette grew up in Pennsylvania’s Alleghany Mountains, moved to Upstate New York, then to the Rockies in Wyoming. Presently she and her husband divide their time between Southwest Florida’s beaches and Georgia’s Blue Ridge Mountains. A finalist in RWA's Golden Heart Contest, PASIC's Book of Your Heart Contest, and Georgia Romance Writers' Maggie Contest, she’s published five books as Lynnette Hallberg. Having grown up in a small town, that’s where her heart takes her—to those quirky small towns where everybody knows everybody...and all their business, for better or worse.
