I have to start by saying that I have been desperately waiting for Finding Lily by Emma Shade to be release. I just had to know......who does Emma choose, what happened to Sam......what about Paige and Alistair......who is Jeremy? Let me tell you this book
Finding Lily picks up 2 months after Lily has left all that she knows behind her. She has been training and honing her skills as both Vampire and Conjour. With the help of Paige and Alistair she has started growing into here abilities. Now she an Paige are on their first assignment and little does she know but the secret of what she truly is is out. Now both Vampires and Conjours are out to get her. Both sides want to see her dead and someone on the inside is feeding them the information on where to find her. But there is hope, because her friends, the ones she left behind, the ones that she is trying to protect, are also trying to find her. It is a race against the clock to see who will find her first, who will win her heart once and for all.
"You're mine Liliana. Don't play games with me. You won't win."
Ashton! He has been going out of his ever loving mind trying to find Lily. He has called in every favor that he can think of. Everyone connected to Ashton in the Vampire community is out looking for Lily, trying to help him find her and bring her home. He knows that once they find her, there are things that he kept from her, (YEP it is a secret cause I am NOT going to spoil it) something that could make Lily turn away from him. He promised her that he would never keep secrets from her again, and believe me this one is a doozey! So now all he can do is wait and hope that when they find her, he can make things right between them.
"Don't ever push me out of a dream again. Okay?"
Blake! He is on the hunt for Lily too. He wants her safe, he wants to try and win her heart. He has been honest with her about his feelings and about the life that they could have together, but there is a BIG problem. Yep, you guessed it, Blake has been less than truthful to not only Lily, but the rest of the group. Believe me when he drops his bombshell, everyone will be affected in one way or another.
"Speaking of warming it up. Do you guys use tampons and stuff to make a vampire version of tea?"
OMG Sam! He is still as crazy, funny, lovable and loyal as ever. I am totally gonna get a BFF like Sam. He will stop at nothing to get Lily back where she belongs and in the words of good old Sam, "Once she knows I'm alive, it'll be okay. And I'll stangle her for leaving." He continues to always be there for Lily, giving her advice on how to handle Blake and Ashton. Adding the humor to the group that everyone loves so much, being the person that in the end, everyone just wants to have around.
"Are you challenging me? Alistair growled. "Because, trust me I'll drag you out of her by any means neccessary."
Paige and Alistair still have the love/hate/bicker thing going on, but as they say in the movies it is a find line between love and hate. These two are very protective of each other, but have just not moved on to the next level yet. Although, to everyone around them, it is a plain as the noses on their faces. I can't wait to see what might happen with these two in the future.
Sorry if you are looking for spoilers, you are out of luck, cause I am not going to spoil the best part of the book, but I can tell you, that FINALLY Lily does make her choice and it is the perfect ending to this story. I look forward to more stories by Emma. Can't wait to see what is in store next for our merry band of misfits. I loved this story so very much that I gave it 5 Super Stars.
